I Finally Wrote an Ebook After Years of Procrastination — Here’s What You Need to Know!

A Journey About Conquering Self-Doubt and Taking Action.

We all want a better life with more money, better health, and a great family.

But many of us only dream about that perfect life and do nothing to get there, don’t we?

Why not achieve success?

Oh! We are naturally lazy, putting things off and staying in our comfort zones.

We know that to be successful, we have to work hard, fight our egos, be humble to learn, and change the way we think.

I am going to skip my favorite games and parties with friends, get up early, and stick to a strict schedule…..To many things to change or do, so success is not for me.

Yeah, I was there too. I put things off a lot and dreamed about being successful without doing anything.

But I had to fight that to make my life better. And one of the things I wanted to do was write an ebook
I talked about writing an ebook for years before I finally got it done.

Years! that’s a very long time to put off doing something that could have been done much faster.

Oh, man, life gets in the way sometimes, and I told myself: “It’s not the right time” or “I’m not ready.” Sound familiar?

My first ebook is now complete, which makes me happy. And let me tell you, writing that book changed things for me in ways I did not expect.

Whether you want to write your own ebook but you have been putting it off (like I did), I can tell you: It’s worth it. And it is not hard at all. Do you agree?

You might be thinking,

“Why should I write an ebook?”

Why You Should write and publish an ebook?

1. Build Authority

As soon as you publish an ebook, people will see you as an expert on the subject.

Let me tell you, any topic is fine for an ebook: mindfulness, fitness, business, or something else.

It also makes you seem trustworthy and different from other people in the same field.

2. It’s Passive Income

It works for you 24 hours a day, seven days a week after you write it.

That is right, every sale earns you money without you having to work for it all the time. That sounds pretty good, right?

3. Reach a Global Audience

People from all over the world can read your book if you sell it online.

You do not have to limit your readers to people in your area, and your ideas could have a much bigger effect.

How to Write Your Ebook Without Losing Your Mind?

Let us talk about how to do it. Following these steps helped me finally stop putting things off and finish writing my ebook.

Step 1: Start Small

Do not let the thought of writing a whole book scare you. Outline first.

Split it up into smaller parts, or chapters. This helps you feel like you can handle the task.

Step 2: Set a Writing Routine

Every day or every week, set aside time to write.

It does not have to be hours; every day for 30 minutes is better than waiting for the perfect time that never comes. Staying consistent is important.

Step 3: Write Like You Speak

I tried to sound very “professional” when I started writing. That was a mistake.

If you want to improve your writing, I suggest that you talk to yourself while you write. Be real, be authentic. That is what makes people feel connected.

Step 4: Edit Later

Don’t let perfectionism slow you down. Focus on finishing the first draft before you worry about editing it.

You can make changes and make things better later, but you can not change something that does not exist yet.

Where to Publish Your Ebook?

It is time to publish your ebook once it is done. Okay, but where?

1. Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP)

It is easy to see why this is one of the most popular ways to self-publish.

Amazon has a huge audience, and KDP makes it easy and quick to publish your ebook. Additionally, it takes care of payments and distribution.

2. Gumroad

Gumroad is a good choice if you want more control over how your products are sold and priced.

A lot of people who make digital goods use it, and it is simple to learn how to use it.

3. Your Own Website

You could sell your ebook directly to people who read your blog or personal website.

This way, you can keep all the money you make, and it is a great way to give your followers something they can not get anywhere else.

What to Expect After Publishing?

Now for the part that not many people talk about, just because you hit “publish,” sales will not start coming in right away.

Marketing your ebook will take some work. And I want to stress that this is the most important part. This is where you will either succeed or fail, so be smart about it.

1. Market It Like a Pro

Use your blog, social media, and email list, if you have one, to get the word out.

Request that people who have a lot of followers in your niche review or promote your book. You should try to get as much attention as possible.

Otherwise, it is important to have a good offer and good packaging. Doing this right will make it easier to sell your ebook.

2. Be Patient

Results won’t happen overnight. It could take weeks or months for people to start reading your ebook, but do not give up.

It is important to keep going with it, look at your marketing go paid data, make changes if needed, and think about how it will help in the long run.
